Many GoodGraphics-minded people will meet at the upcoming DD4D conference in Paris. The best-known historical precursor of GoodGraphics is Otto Neurath’s Isotype, a much more recent initiative in the same spirit is Gapminder.

Some examples of GoodGraphics (planned) activities:
- building a community of people that share an interest in the use of information visualization for increasing awareness and understanding of issues that are essential to the well-being of people and/or the planet.
-sharing knowledge about the above, e.g. through presentations and publications.
-creating a searchable online repository of example visualizations and of relevant resources.
-taking initiatives for the creation of specific graphics about particular issues.
-providing organizations (e.g. non-profit organizations, educational institutions, governmental agencies) with “visualization support” (e.g. visual inspiration, specific visualization advice, and/or connections to the right people).
